Larumbe, a talented player in various leagues in Cebu, passed away on Sunday, February 4, at the age of 23. He was known for his exceptional skills and was a valuable asset to the teams he played for.

Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama has vowed to pursue justice for Larumbe by filing a case against the person responsible for the hit-and-run incident near the Redemptorist Church in Cebu City. Rama also addressed the accusations against him, clarifying that he had no knowledge of the accident when it occurred.

In a separate incident, a 34-year-old man has been arrested for the murder of his estranged wife’s boyfriend. The crime took place in Brgy. Lorega San Miguel, Cebu City on Sunday, February 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, fish traders at the Pasil Fish Port are raising concerns about a new policy implemented by the Cebu Provincial Government. The policy prohibits vehicles transporting wet goods from unsanitary conditions from entering the province’s territory.

Era Ariosa, a 62-year-old fish trader at Pasil Fish Port, expressed worry that this policy would create challenges for fish traders. She highlighted that Cebu and neighboring provinces, like Bohol, heavily rely on the Province of Zamboanga for their fish supply, and the new restrictions could disrupt the supply chain.”
