Lesbian couple got pregnant with the same sperm

First lesbian couple in the UK to give birth to each other’s sons say finding a sperm donor is ‘like using Tinder’
Producer Emily Patrick (38) and school teacher Kerry Osborn (35), who live in Hampshire, have two sons named Elvis and Ezra…
The couple welcomed their babies through in vitro fertilization. But they chose an interesting method..
Elvis was fertilized from Kerry’s egg and implanted into Emily’s womb. Ezra was fertilized from Emily’s egg and transferred to Kerry.
This is the first time the procedure, known as simultaneous reciprocal IVF, has been trialled in the UK.
The women used a U.S. citizen man of Dutch-German descent as the same sperm donor; this made the children biological half-siblings.

The couple said they decided to do this to establish a special bond with each other’s children and that they wanted the biological father of their baby to ‘look like them’.
Saying that they chose this method because it was a method that no one had tried before, Emily says that they chose to get pregnant at the same time to share each other’s journey.
Elvis was born naturally on New Year’s Eve, weighing 3 kilos and 600 grams. Ezra came by emergency cesarean section on February 28, weighing 3 kilos 150 grams.
The procedure cost the couple £25,000 (approximately 1 million 100 thousand TL)
The duo also opened up about their experiences with the sperm donor process, adding that it was similar to ‘Tinder’.
“You get very little information about them and there are a lot of donors, but you have different characteristics for each one. We wanted a donor that was very similar to us,” Emily said. says.
Kerry added that the most important thing for the couple is to find a healthy donor with a good background.
Emily says she will always support her children if they choose to find out where they come from.
