American singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett has died at the age of 76. The singer, known for her hit song Margaritaville, was pronounced dead in her sleep.

“LIFE LIKE A SONG”

“Jimmy died peacefully on the night of September 1, surrounded by family and friends. He lived like a song until his last breath and will be missed,” said Buffett’s X account .

The singer, who released his biggest hit Margaritaville in 1977, also attracted attention with songs such as Cheeseburger in Paradise and Come Monday.

CAUSE OF DEATH NOT EXPLAINED

The artist, who was hospitalized in May, had to cancel his concerts because of this.

Jimmy Buffett’s cause of death was not disclosed.
