The 20-year-old young woman used electronic cigarettes for five years.

“I’m worried that I won’t be able to live past 40 anymore,” Karlee said, adding that starting electronic cigarettes was the worst decision she ever made and that it remains her biggest regret in life. The young woman, whose lung collapsed for the first time while at work in November 2021, waited two days to go to the hospital, thinking she was experiencing a muscle spasm in her back.

“The first time, my lung had to be re-expanded with a needle and syringe, but in November 2022, I had to have surgery to reattach it to the chest wall after the lung collapsed again,” Karlee said.

Karlee warns people not to let more people keep vaping as an addiction in their lives.
