Famous names can easily travel around the world thanks to the opportunities they have, but this is not the case for some names! Showing disrespect during an event, supporting some minority groups, or commenting on a sensitive issue. There may be many reasons behind these prohibitions. According to Ntv’s news, here are the famous names and the countries they are prohibited from entering.

Katy Perry – China

The singer was banned from entering China after wearing the Taiwanese flag at her concert in Taipei.

Snoop Dog – Australia and Norway

In 2007, Australian authorities decided that the rapper would not be allowed entry because he had several felonies, including serious weapons and drug charges.

He was subsequently banned from entering Norway for two years in 2012 for carrying more cash than legally allowed in the country.

Selena Gomez – China and Russia

The singer, who shared a photo of herself laughing with the Dalai Lama on her Instagram account, was banned from entering China.

According to The Atlantic, Gomez was blocked from entering Russia after potentially speaking out about anti-gay laws in the country.

Jay-Z – China

In 2006, the rapper was banned from performing in Shanghai due to profanities in his songs. Concert organizer Sun Yun, via the BBC, identified the official reason as “vulgar language”.

Harrison Ford – China
