The Dutch first cut their prime minister into pieces, then fried them and ate them with pleasure!

The tradition of eating dead human flesh has always been attributed to Africans and non-Western societies, but it is almost a taboo to mention the European habit of consuming human flesh and blood – especially in the palaces.

Cannibalism? African primitives do that, Europeans never!

You may have seen thousands of cartoons about African cannibalism, but you cannot find a single example of European cannibalism. However, recent research by archaeologists shows us that cooked human meat and bone pieces were found in some vessels in ancient times in European countries such as England and France. Dr. Richard Sugg Mummies, Vampires and Cannibals

In his book, he revealed the archival documents of the palaces showing the consumption of human blood, human flesh, human fat and human bones (including mummies) among the dynasties and aristocrats in the European palaces, including the 18th century. This is called “corpse medicine”. He also explained with documents that after the execution of a young person with an ax, officials from the palace were sent to collect the blood that flowed into a bucket, and after the prisoner’s head was cut off, the blood brought to the palace was added to the meals of the old king or queen as a youth potion.

But there is one incident that is both more recent and intriguing enough to drown them all out, as it happened to the Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

Like veal throats…

According to the description of the painters, this is how the dismemberment of the corpses took place.

The year is 1672.

While the Ottoman Empire was living in the Köprülü period, interesting events were taking place in the north-west of Europe. The Orange dynasty sits on the throne of the Netherlands, but the ‘Prime Minister’ (Great Pensionary) John de Witt, elected by the states, devoted his life to limiting the absolute power of the king, like his English contemporary Oliver Cromwell. He stands up bravely as the representative of the people against the power of the dynasty.

In the autumn of the same year, 1672, this very talented intellectual leader named John de Witt – who was also a friend of the famous philosopher Spinoza – was shot together with his brother Cornelius in an uprising that broke out, and he was to be shot first with a rifle, then executed, and his corpses were attacked like sacrificial animals by his enemies whose anger was unquenchable. First they would be hung by their feet, then they would be lowered and their genitals, lungs and hearts would be torn to pieces, and finally their bodies would be cut into pieces like sheep or cattle, and they would be cooked and eaten with pleasure by someone from the crowd who could not bear their anger. Yes, he would be defeated!…

The Witt brothers whose bodies were dismembered.

Immediately, ‘What is the source of this information? They will ask: If you don’t mind, they should look at page 218 of the book titled John De Witt: Statesman of the “True Freodom” by Herbert H. Rowen, a professor who teaches history at the universities of California, Wisconsin and Rutgers, published by Cambridge University Press in 2002.

Our readers, who cannot bring together the Netherlands, Europe in general, and cannibalism in their minds, may be surprised, but let’s not forget that thinking begins with surprise.
