Terrorist bomb attack in Ankara
Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya reported that 2 terrorists who came with a light commercial vehicle in front of the entrance gate of the General Directorate of Security of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at around 09.30, carried out a bomb attack and 2 police officers were slightly injured.
Minister Yerlikaya, in his statement on his social media account, stated the following about the attack:
“Around 09.30, two terrorists who came with a light commercial vehicle in front of the entrance gate of the General Directorate of Security of our Ministry of Internal Affairs, carried out a bomb attack. One of the terrorists blew himself up, and the other terrorist was neutralized.
During the fire, 2 of our police officers were slightly injured. I wish a speedy recovery to our heroes.
“Our fight will continue relentlessly until the last terrorist is neutralized.”
Publication ban decision from Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office
On the other hand, Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office announced that an investigation was launched into the bomb attack against the General Directorate of Security, and that an access ban and publication ban were issued on the news about the incident.
In the written statement made by the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, “An investigation has been initiated by our Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office due to the attack on the entrance gate of the General Directorate of Security by terrorists on October 1, 2023. Regarding the attack, Ankara Criminal Judgeship of Peace on Duty issued an access ban and publication ban decision.” information was given.
