Pamela Salem’s cause of death has been revealed! here are the details
The James Bond, Miss Moneypenny and EastEnders star has died aged 80 after a decades-long career in show business.
The actress is also remembered for her role as Miss Moneypenny in the 1983 film Never Say Never Again, opposite Sean Connery.
In 1988, she appeared as Joanne in EastEnders and was a member of the cast of TV series such as General Hospital and ER.
Production company Big Finish said:
‘We are deeply saddened to confirm the passing of our dear friend and colleague Pamela Salem.’
Pamela was born in Mumbai (then Bombay) in 1944 and later studied at the University of Heidelberg in Germany before attending the Central School of Speech and Drama.
His television career began in the early 1970s with guest appearances on programs such as Out Of The Unknown and Jason King.
Pamela’s big screen debut came in 1978, when she starred in the heist comedy The First Great Train Robbery, in which she first worked alongside Sean Connery.
This was followed by a role opposite Joan Collins in the 1979 film The B**ch, based on the novel of the same name by Joan’s sister Jackie.
Four years later, she had one of her most memorable screen roles as Miss Moneypenny in Never Say Never Again, which grossed $160 million at the box office.
She was married to actor Michael O’Hagan. O’Hagan died in November 2017. The couple lived in Surfside, Florida, where Pamela passed away on February 21.
