Names and phones of virgin female students were leaked

Al-Farabi Kazakhstan National University Hospital in Almaty, Kazakhstan, leaked personal information of female students who were virgins, including their names and phone numbers. While the students mentioned in the list on social media reacted greatly to the scandal, one of the students said, “Our personal data is literally posted everywhere. After private medical examinations, they collect the information and throw it into a general chat room.”

The crisis that broke out at the Al-Farabi Kazakhstan National University Hospital in Almaty, the largest city of Kazakhstan, had a wide public impact. While the virginity status of approximately 190 female students was leaked by the university, highly personal and confidential medical information about hundreds of women was shared by the authorities on social media.

GYNECOLOGICAL EXAMINATION RESULTS WERE LEAKED

While it was stated that the information on the internet included names, ages, phone numbers and identity numbers, it was claimed that female students underwent special gynecological examinations at the university’s medical center after this information was spread in various social media groups affiliated with the university. While it was announced that the results of these examinations were leaked, no statement was made as to whether these examinations were compulsory for students in the former Soviet state.
