Marcus Hearn Died in Motorcycle Accident!
The Washington DC running community was shaken by the untimely death of 38-year-old Marcus Hearn. The local athlete and motivational coach passed away Monday after injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident last week.
According to police reports, Hearn collided with a commercial van at high speed while riding his motorcycle on Interstate 295 last Wednesday morning. The traumatic blow threw him off the bike and caused serious injuries.
First responders took Hearn to a nearby hospital, but the damage turned out to be too serious for doctors to treat. After struggling days in intensive care, Marcus passed away in the early hours of Monday, among his grieving loved ones.
This tragic loss created shock waves in DC’s close-knit running community, where Hearn has been indispensable for over a decade. As both an athlete and a coach, he touched countless lives with his inspiring spirit and passion for sports.
