George Jones bassist Ron Gaddis died on Friday, August 25, 2023. He is reported to be in his late 50s. The tragic news of Ron Gaddis’s death was announced on Facebook by Georgette Jones, daughter of Ron’s former boss, George Jones.
“We were told this morning by our friends that Ron Gaddis passed away. Ron was my father’s bassist and backing vocalist for many years and was a big and important part of the Jones Boys” Georgette wrote in her post.
He added: “He was one of his kind and very talented. He loved my father and no one could sing with him like Ron. My heart is with his family and friends. He will always be missed and remembered. We pray for all of you who love and know Ron. And may he rest in peace.”
