Moschino’s parent company, Italian luxury group Aeffe, announced the sad news. The designer died a few days ago in Milan, where he was “hospitalized for a heart problem”, according to Ansa news agency. Renne was due to present his first collection for the luxury brand at Milan Fashion Week in February next year.

“There are no words to describe the immeasurable pain we are experiencing at this dramatic moment,” Aeffe CEO Massimo Ferrett said, according to Ansa. “Davide had joined us only a few days ago when a sudden illness ended his young life too soon. We still can’t believe what happened.” According to designer Ferrett, who also worked for Gucci for a long time, “He made us love and respect him immediately. Now it’s up to us to continue what his imagination and creativity could only dream of.”
