Auston Smith Reudelhuber Car Accident;

Auston Smith Reudelhuber, 32-year-old police officer Sheriff II, was sadly killed in a fatal crash Saturday morning. The police officer killed in a box truck crash is being mourned, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. Around 5:16 a.m., the officer was on patrol in a Davidson County neighborhood in the 5200 block of North NC Highway 150.

What Happened to Auston Smith Reudelhuber?

This morning, around 5:16 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy driving his patrol vehicle for a patrol shift was struck by a box truck in the 5200 block of N. NC Hwy 150 in Davidson County.

The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office and multiple local fire departments responded to the scene. He was transported to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital due to his injuries.

Deputy Reudelhuber was assigned to the Field Services Division and served as the Field Training Officer.
