Danny Masterson, who was convicted of raping two women, received a life sentence!

That ’70s Show star Danny Masterson was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Thursday for raping two women at his Hollywood Hills home more than 20 years ago.

Masterson, 47, was sentenced four months after being convicted of two of three rape charges he faced at his trial in Los Angeles.

The once-popular sitcom star, who did not take the stand at either hearing, has repeatedly denied sexually assaulting women.

Masterson was accused of raping three women, identified at trial as Jane Doe #1, Jane Doe #2, and Jane Doe #3, between 2001 and 2003.

Masterson’s first trial ended in a mistrial in November 2022, with jurors returning a verdict of acquittal. His second trial ended with the actor found guilty of raping Jane Doe #1 and Jane Doe #2, but not Jane Doe #3.

All three of the accusers are former members of the Church of Scientology, to which Masterson still belongs.

Both cases brought unwanted attention to the controversial church, which the women accused of trying to cover up the allegations.

At the retrial, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Charlaine Olmedo emphasized that Scientology was not a defendant. He did, however, allow witnesses to testify that church officials pressured them not to speak to the police about the rape allegations.

Scientology spokesperson Karin Pouw has repeatedly denied these allegations, insisting that church doctrine requires members to “follow all laws of the country.”
